House Arrest

Sofie is truly 2 1/2 and female. Therefore, it doesn't matter where you go, what you do, what you say - you NEVER know what will set her off! After too many temper tantrums outside of home, she is officially on house arrest. (If anyone knows where I can find a toddler size ankle bracelet - let me know!)

Her terms are somewhat like Martha's. A limited number of places she can go - church, Aunt Jane's, a few stores, etc. The only difference between her and Martha's is that she MUST be fully rested before venturing out.

It seems to be working better. Perhaps in a year the judge will have mercy on her and see fit to release her.

The biggest Martha similarity? - Your "prison" has ALSO been referred to as Camp Cupcake!

Hadley saw this picture and said "There's my friend Sopie." Love it.

I can't believe how much older she looks. Have you come up with anything that works for tantrums? Hannah has just decided that she is going to start pitching fits. Maybe I need to put her on house arrest too
. Hannah said "oh theres Sopie. I love Sopie."

Typically, if she starts a fit I ignore it and sometimes she'll stop. If she doesn't stop, or begins to swing arms, kick people, knock things down etc, I put her in her room on Bella's bed (Sofie is still in a crib and can't climb out yet! :). I tell her when she is ready to be nice, she can come out. She'll cry in there for a while. Sometimes she comes out "not" ready, and she gets sent back in. About the 4th time of taking her back in, she gets put in her crib (without her blankie).
Often when she is mad or doesn't get her way now she will run to her room and slam te door. She comes out in a minute and she's fine.

She's a mess!
